Founder/Pastor

Pastor Angela Segres-King is a fourth-generation preacher who embraced the church as a distinct part of her life at an early age.  Church and church work has been woven into the fabric of her life. Pastor King believes, “Whatever your hands find to do, do it with all your might” (Ecclesiastes 9:10a).

Pastor King was born in Kingstree, South Carolina, and raised in Rocky Mount, North Carolina where she currently resides. Pastor King holds an Associate’s Degree from Nash Community College, a Bachelor of Science Degree from East Carolina University, and a Master’s Degree from Liberty University. Pastor King is currently pursuing her Master of Divinity at Shaw University. 

Pastor King has served as a guest preacher for several women's conferences, revivals, and youth services. She has also conducted workshops, and seminars locally and out of state. Pastor King is an anointed bible preacher/teacher who uses real-world applications of the Word and personal experiences, interwoven with humor and wisdom, to help others grow. She labors diligently to ensure the spiritual growth of others.

One of her favorite scriptures is, “Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom I shall send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me” (Isaiah 6:8). She has been blessed with opportunities to travel worldwide providing mission work in Jamaica, Africa, Belize, Egypt, England, France, and the United States.

Pastor King is honored and humbled that God has chosen her to shepherd His sheep as leader of IHWM. She has a strong desire to lead, encourage, love, teach, and labor with God’s people to strengthen the church that Christ is building.

Pastor King married her high school sweetheart, Deacon Lindsey King Jr. in 1990 and they have been married for over thirty-two years. To their union, they are blessed with three beautiful children: Briana, Ashley, and Joshua.
